Jubilee WestFest!

It was a time to celebrate. Residents of Weston, Newbridge and beyond came together on Sunday 5th June 2022 at the Rec to mark the Queen’s remarkable 70 years on the throne.

A morning service included personal memories of meeting the Queen. Then the Deputy Mayor opened the day of fun and games. Live music, lots of stalls, mega bubble blowing, tug of war, bouncy castle, crafts, team sports and a brilliant dog show with prizes presented by the Mayor.

We celebrated the Queen’s reign without the rain … until the end of the day when a band of noble volunteers stayed to clear up.
